The Little Rock FOP has taken on the endeavor of marking all the graves of LRPD officers killed in the line of duty to honor them during Police Memorial Week. The graves of these heros are being marked with two (2) bronze badges--one holds the American flag and the other holds a thin blue line flag. Brother Richard Glascock championed the idea after he heard about a similar program at the last National FOP Conference. Brother Glascock coordinated the purchasing of the bronze holders and flags and with the help of several other LRFOP members, they affixed the markers on the graves they could locate. The LRFOP is still searching for (8) gravesites, but they have received a great response from members of the community. When the story ran in the newspaper and on local TV stations, several citizens called in offering assistance in locating the (8) gravesites.
The LRFOP plans to mark these gravesites annually during Police Memorial week. They also hope to never add another gravesite to the list. Please pray for our fallen officers and their families!
